Ockham has downgraded Verizon recently because the underlying fundamentals look less appealing, especially considering the value available elsewhere in the market. The company reported quarterly results today that were mixed, but we are maintaining our position on this stock.

Apple reported excellent numbers last week and the market is responding positively. Ockham Research rates Apple as Greatly Undervalued and we think that earnings momentum and sales momentum are just to hard to ignore.

A Citi analyst has doubled his estimate for Amazon.com’s Kindle device. We are less enthusiastic about the digital reader, and we are certainly not buyers of AMZN after the significant price appreciation of the day.
