Behold the power of Jim Cramer, all he has to do is call attention to a stock and it will move. Last night’s beneficiary was Permian Basin Royalty Trust, and with no other news surrounding the stock it is up 23 percent, while the rest of the market is down about 1 percent.

The hits just keep on coming for Textron, as they announced today that they will be slashing their dividend by 91 percent. As we explain, there is a big difference between a company appearing undervalued and a stock that is a good investment…this is a great example of the difference.

Mad Money’s Jim Cramer spent a lot of time praising Honeywell last night. Aerospace has not been a favorite of his in recent months, but Honeywell and their management are doing the things to keep this company triving in these difficult times.

Ockham sheds some light on our valuation of BP with its attractive 8 percent yield. Of course, investors should always investigate a high yielding stock like this to make sure that there is no danger of a dividend cut. Barring something unforeseen in the earnings report tomorrow, we think that BP’s dividend is good to go, making them an attractive buy candidate.

Cummins, Inc. has certainly fallen out of favor with the market as it is down nearly 70 percent year to date. However, stocks such as this that have strong fundamentals underlying the drop in stock price that should make value investors at least curious.
