I think the answer clearly over the last six months is they have. What are the risks if he were to return? I think they're much less. And frankly, whatever the causes of the discussion, APPLE's all over the news today, completely obscuring rim and pre. So it's all good for APPLE. >> yeah, it's all good for and of course we hope it's all good for steve jobs. Thanks very much to you both. We appreciate you joining us. We will see you soon. Of a ceo and a management team. >> I agree with that. I mean, look, I don't think anybody is discrediting steve jobs or the management team at APPLE because clearly this is a special individual and that's why some investors have invested in APPLE, because of its leader. So that's sort of the point. You know, one thing that unnerves me is somebody in pr throwing up these balloons that really are unnecessary. I mean, I think the world is

>> every moment he's not under the knife. The bigger thing ways think steve jobs from an investor standpoint, that he's clearly built a marvelous management team here, with tim cook and peter OPPENHEIMER, phil schiffer, et cetera. Nell minnow is with me, she's editor of "the corporate library." and rennet-uponver. What are your thoughts on what's going on right now with APPLE? >> you know what, they can't have it both ways. APPLE has really sold steve jobs you know, he is their betty crocker, he's their mickey he is personally involved in everything that they do. So they can't get coy when it comes to what his prospects are.

I made mention of this earlier today, that jobs is quoted in a press release about iphone a short quote but a meaningful one since it's jobs' first appearance in an APPLE press release since his medical leave began last january. It's leading to widespread speculation that this is the quiet and subdued way that APPLE and jobs are choosing to announce his return to the company. All of this speculation follows news from friday that jobs had undergone a liver transplant in march, a treatment connected to his pancreatic cancer diagnosis back in 2004. And then news this morning that iphone 3gs sales blew past xpgsz, with APPLE selling 1 million units, or twice the original estimates. That's good news for APPLE but maybe not for anyone else doing business in the smartphone sector, including rim, nokia, palm, google, and microsoft. In connection to the speculation surrounding jobs and his possible return to the company, with APPLE officials trying to get some guidance on that very fact, and as of yet no response of any kind thus far. Maria, back to you. >> all right, jim, thanks very much. Of course, we all wish steve jobs only the best for his
